Default Traction Control Noise!?

I have noticed that when I get in some slick stuff and the Traction Control light briefly comes on I hear a very odd sound comming from the front of the truck. I'm not sure if it normal or not. I tried out the Hill Desent on my very steep driveway the other day and heard the same noise. It sounds like one of those spring door stops that are attached to the wall behind doors in older homes if you were to slap it and watch vibrate. Heard here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nm21uULHfA8 I knows thats a wierd comparision but thats the only thing I know of that sounds like it.

That sound is normal, it's the pulsing of the brake on the spinning tire. It freaks everyone out the first time they hear it because it doesn't sound normal.

One of my friends didn't know what was happening when his ABS kicked in on his Lancer. We'd be driving around on snow and I'd hear it kick in and see him push his foot to the floor as hard as he can to try to stop the car. I had to explain to him how the ABS was actually slowing you faster by not putting your foot to the floor.

Well that's good to know! I can quit sweating it now. I've been thinking that I was gonna have to drop some big bucks on some broken part.
