Question Traction Control Question

So the more that i off road and learn about off roading my disco 2 the more questions that i have about it. The traction control that is on the disco 2s applies that breaks to the wheels that are spinning, but only after they have spun for a moment. It is better to let this happen or to apply the break and gas simultaneously to help control wheel spin? I am use to locked diffs and am new to electronic traction control. Thanks for any light you can shed on this question.

Let the truck do the work, you just concentrate on driving.

You gotta let the tires spin for a bit to let the TC engage and do it's job.
