Which Tranny fluid Disco 1?
I have a '96 Disco with automatic tranny; need to know which tranny fluid to use. I keep getting different answers from the local dealer. One Service advisor said Dexron 2d, and the parts dept. said Dexron 3. I had it flushed yesterday with Dexron 3 and now it is shifting hard and downshifting funny.

Dex 2 was replaced by Dex 3.
I have used Dex 3 in my 96 Disco with no problem.
Make sure that the fluid is full, it is hard to check when it is
anything other than cold I would bet that it is low.
