Default Transfer Case Operating Temp

Can anyone tell me what the operating termperature of the trans case oil is on a DII 99 114miles? Changed TC oil and Diffs and the Temp sensor still comes on. I pulled the wires on the sensor on the TC and identified it to be the TC and not the tranny. Additionally - I got it warmed up (drove 15miles highway) and when to a shop and measured the TC case and got a surface temp of 168 degrees Farenheit. Assuming that fluid inside should be within 10 degrees of that. ANyone the opering temperature of the sensor?

Oil temperature warning lamp switch
An oil temperature switch is fitted to V8 engine models up to 03 Model Year. In the event of the transfer box oil
approaching maximum recommended working temperature of 145°C (293°F), the switch will close and a warning
lamp in the instrument pack will be illuminated.

Thanks - I tried to do my homework before determing it to be a failing switch. But couldn't find the temperature boundries.....
