Default Transmission fluid

Question i was driving th other day and the transmission temp light came on... so i figured id check the level maybe it was low. Well i checked it and when i took the plug out, the one on the side like i was told... I had about 1-2 quarts of transmission fluid come out all over the place. I thought it was only supposed to be filled to the bottom of that hole. This also can out in really watery mess... Not like the thick stuff i thought it was supposed to be... any ideas?

Thanks

So, do not drive the truck till you learn the proper way to check and fill your tranny cause now being that short you will damage the tranny.
PM me your tele number ASAP and DO NOT drive the truck untill I walk you thru what to do.

Did you remove the "fill" plug or the "drain" plug?
And ATF is very thin, especially when hot.
And it is supposed to be bright red.

Call Mike ASAP. You have to fill/check the tranny with the truck running. Otherwise, you will get about a quart on the floor.

To make a long story short... Called my buddy a big LR guy who told me how to check it... Yea he forgot to mention that you have the truck running!... Well we got it fixed up and topped off.. Took it for a test drive.... and smoked a deer... Trucks going to the shop today to have the damage checked out...
