Default Transmission hard shifting

I have a 2004 disco 138000 miles. When I take off from a start its a hard shift into 2nd gear and sometimes 3rd. Also when I come to a stop there are two big downshifts. It feels like the first one is from the front then a second later a big clunk toward the middle. I have had a new drive shaft and tranny put in awhile back because the front shaft came lose on the hwy and put a hole in tranny u could put your fist in. Any ideas on the hard up and down shift?? Thanks for all your help!

Have you checked your fluid level, do you know how to check it and is your check engine light on, if so what are the fault code numbers?

Checked fluid level yesterday and it looked fine. Yes check engine light is on. I know I need new o2 sensors and I ordered new ones yesterday. Codes are as follows: p1415, p0150, p0174, p1174, and p0455. A few more than the last time I checked!!!!

If your engine is malfunctioning - then the software can't
adjust for the loss of power and you may shift rough.
You need to get all those

codes fixed first then worry about the transmission.
