Ok...so its time for a new gearbox in my 98 disco. Its lees $$ and les complex to replace then to tear it down and re-build.....so here is the question

ZF4hp22...came in my truck....can I replace it with a ZF4HP24??

No I dont think it will. I believe that the ZF24 is a DII transmission and the ZF22 is a DI transmission. They are not interchangable.

 

Thanks...i thought not. i thought the SeriesII has an electronic Valve body ....i just couldn't remember.

BTW.....I have a White 97 (stormtrooper!)
I've been driving it with a funky transmission for 3 years now. I won't sell it though. So...its time to take care of the problem.
