Default Transmission removal and install; any write ups or tips?

I've searched a couple hours now and found exactly one poorly made video, (but still helpful) and nothing else on how to remove and reinstall a transmission.
mine lost forward so I have a low mileage one to install in it's place.
What else should I do when I'm there? Is the rear main easy? Transfer case?

Anything you have helps. Thanks

Make absolutely sure you seat the torque convert properly before install. Measure the depth per the manual. I would recommend replacing the tcase center shaft o-ring seal while you have it out. Good videos on how to to do it, bascially loosens the nut but do not remove. Tap shaft out far enough to remove o-ring and replace. Coat the head of the shaft with Permatex Hi-torque sealant. Reinstall and replace o-ring on nut end. Tighten nut one eighth turn additional, re-stake the nut. If your transmission is used you might want to consider replacing the front seal on the transmission. When you have the transmission out check the rear camshaft plug for leakage. You can email me and I will provide transmission manuals.

The transmission/engine have dowel pins that will properly seat them together when aligned and stabbed properly.
