Default Transmission Rubber Plugs

While rebuilding my driveshaft I decided to clean up the under carriage to determine the source of a few leaks. I noticed two rubber plugs on each side of the transmission just above the driveshaft. Both were partially unplugged. I was able to easily press one back into place, however the larger one is difficult. Is this where tranny fluid is added? I do not seem to have a transmission dipstick. How can I check the tranny fluid?

You fill and check your fluid thur the metal plug in the side of your tranny pan, only when the engine is warm, running and in park.

By the way, did you order and install a new centering ball kit while doing the rebuild, if not the shaft will fail again very quickly.
