Default Transmission/T-case removal question

OK so I'm about to return to this project. The Transmission/T-case will be available from the yard late next week. The RAVE gives plans so you can fabricate a bracket to place on a transmission jack for removal & installation. My question is do I need to have this thing made for me or can I just strap it down to a regular transmission jack? Has anyone here done it either way? Any one who knows in the Minneapolis area?

I have done multiple D1 transmissions with out a transmission jack and using 2 floor jacks. If you have a tranny jack I am sure it may be easier but I have found that with 2 people it is easy to do as well. It is all very heavy though and in my opinion comes out easier with the TC attached to the transmission.

Good luck with the swap.
