Default Transmission Temp Warning ON?

Need a little assistance please. The transmission warning light is on and does not go off. I will simply start it up cold and the light will go out. Can someone point me in the direction to purchase a new sensor. Found them on AB but not sure which one I need. Pretty sure I will get some off topic responses but oh well it happens. 2002 Disco II LSE
Thanks
Joe

Unplug the sensor on the lower right hand side of the radiator and see if the light stays out, if everything stays the same, plug it back in and then unplug the temp sensor on the transfer case.

That trouble light actually has two sensors connected, one in the transmission cooler and one in the transfer case. Transmission cooler plug is under the top radiator shroud on the passenger side. You can unplug it there and check it, if it is not the bad one then the transfer case one is probably the issue. Mine was the trans cooler. Download the rave and read the functional description on the sensor and look at the circuit diagram so you can understand it.
