why does it say that the trany must be cold before changing the oil ? (disco II 01)

then check it while it it is running in park.So you don't burn your self first of all and so when you go to do the second refill the tranny will be warm on after you start it up and switch back and forth from reverse to drive twice

thanks Mike, after, the first refill, should I drive it a few yard forward and reverse or I just stay put and changing the gear to forward and reverse before the 2nd fill ?

long time I haven't spoke to you, how is everything ?

Just stay put, the whole purpose of this is to pull fluid from the pan up into the upper areas of the tranny.

atf expands a good deal when it heats up, if you set the level when its cold, how it should be done, then get it hot and pull the fill plug, youll lose a lot of fluid, just the way atf is
