Treadwrights and balancing

As far a balancing beads go. I have used them for over 3 years now. The powder that Expedition Exchange sells seems like it would not work. I have used Dynabeads. They are Ceramic little *****. I have used them both in Goodyear DuraTracs and AT Revo 2's. They seem to work well. I have not had wheel weights on my rims in 3 years. No vibrations

Still hoping you will reply to my question which might help you. How much weight on each tire, are they weighted on both sides? Did you have the tire store follow Treadwright's tire balancing suggestions?

Weights on inside and out. 8 to 12 oz per tire. I will be taking my spare to another store. If they get it in with 2 to 3 oz instead of the 12 that's on there I will be getting them all redone. If no significant change then I will be getting dynabeads.

There is a chart on the Dyabeads website. I have 265/75/16's . I think 5oz if I remember correctly. If you think you have a badly out of alignment tire more may help. As in theory, the weighted beads settle into the outer tread of the tire with centripetal force as you go about 15mph. I reused the beads from my Revo's 2's to my Goodyears. I scooped them out with a measuring cup. I bought an extra bag and added 5oz when the shop put my tires on. They are in my spare too.
Looks good! I'll probably end up buying the wardens as I wouldn't get the use out of the guard dogs.. Mostly paved roads for me, but there are some nice utility line service roads in the area, and they are a blast after some rain!

I have had Treadwrights for about 18 months. One "cap" separated at 75MPH after about 4 months/3k miles. Treadwright had no problem warrantying not only the one that failed but one more because the pic I sent them seemed worrisome to them. They were great! Now, 2 more are starting to separate at the tread edge.
I can't say they have been bad tires but I probably wouldn't buy them again. The problem I have is the uneasy feeling I have every time I get on the highway with them.
As for the weight, three of the 7 I have mounted have taken ALOT of weight, the other 4 have taken a "normal" amount of weight. (They were balanced professionally by my BMW dealer.)
I can't say they have been bad tires but I probably wouldn't buy them again. The problem I have is the uneasy feeling I have every time I get on the highway with them.
