Truck Not Starting
After a few challenges with the truck not wanting to start ...I replaced the Crank P Sensor and I bang on the top of the Fuel Pump for a few minutes with a rubber hammer ...Now it is starting every time...BUT
I know there is always a but, I have code PO308 and also a water drip, that I have no idea where is coming from....
I see it drip down from the small two hoses underneath the passenger side of the truck...
When I start the truck The temperature stays in the middle of the gage...I don't wait for it to go higher, should I wait to see if the temp goes any higher ? Please help with this...!
Also any idea of where this water is coming from ?
It is water cause I'm using distilled water to see for drips...then Im going to flush the system a few times since it had a blown HG before...I'm also going to put some Marvel Mystery Oil in the oil and in the gas to make sure the rings get some TLC...that I hope should help...
Please I welcome any other suggestion...
It has taken me over 17 month to get to this point...and this time a few other weeks or month ...would not matter...This has become a labor of Love or my Trophy Wife...LOL
Thank you all ...without you, I would have never jump into this task...
No regrets...
Much oblige

Those two hoses you are talking about go to the heater core. Only two possible issues really. One, the hoses are old and spongy and just leaking from age. Or two, you have bad clamps. Where are they leaking from? If just right in the middle you need new hoses. If leaking at a connection, it could be the clamps. It shouldn't overheat with a small leak as long as there is coolant running through the system so no worries there. The p0308 is a misfire code. Does it run rough? Could be getting some of that water leaking onto a loose plug causing that. Or it could just be a stored code. Can you reset your CES light to see if it comes back? That's what I would do.
