Hey guys so the truck has sat about 3 months time total while I worked on these two projects on the weekends. I've done my very best to make sure every connection and wire is in it's place.
When I finally had it all together yesterday I tried to start it and it tried to turn over for a few seconds but wouldn't go. Figuring my battery was low I charged it and when I went to start it this morning i think the battery is worse off than before. The car didn't even attempt to start and it seems i have lost all power. The red light around the key switch is gone and I can hear a clicking noise in the dash.
Ive heard that this is indicates a toast battery on other cars. Is the Disco no different?

Okay well I just had a jump and the truck will start but it won't idle. I gave it a little gas before turning it over. It's not starting correctly. The rpm's jumped way high and I knew it wasn't right so I shut it off.
I should also mention that my battery is only a year old. Is it possible that my alternator is crapping out and can't get the truck to idle? It doesn't explain the spike in rpm's but pumping the gas does.

Okay well. I took the battery to a battery specialist in town and he said the battery checked out okay. But the guy was an old man so i really don't know how detailed his assessment was. If it cranks then the battery should be fine, yes? Or could it be weak enough not to hold the charge? I did find a loose throttle cable that I tightened. The truck starts but it is still not running right. I really do not think I missed any connections or wiring. God help me if i left a tool in the valley pan or something. I'm so paranoid right now I want to tear it down right now.
