Hey, my replacement for the 2nd row ash tray just came from Tuff-Rok. Does anyone have a suggestion of where to pick up 12V power that doesn’t require removing the entire center console? Tuff-Rok suggested they cigarette lighter, but I’m not sure I can get to it without pulling the whole center console out.

 

You can't get to the power without "almost" removing the console. I just put this one in my front ashtray and pulled power from the cigarette lighter. I didn't have to physically remove the console, but I had to do everything else save for pop out the seat switches and lift the console out. Every other step though, window/heater switches, ebrake cable disconnect, shifter surround, etc so I could slide the console back and disconnect the plug from the back of the lighter to get the pigtail up and out far enough to tap into it. On the plus side, 2 of these for $20 shipped and a 1 1/8" hole saw and I was in business. I'm not a smoker so the astray was pretty useless, but I have a spare if I ever decide to start and want to put it back to stock.
