turn/hazard lights re-wire?

turn/hazard lights re-wire?
ok, i no longer have a rear bumper (dont ask... wife still gets mad when i mention it) or the little marker lights that went into the bumper. my problem is that now my rear turn signals and hazard lights no longer function. normal tail lights and brakes lights work fine and the bulbs appear undamaged.
suggestions on where to start my trouble shooting?
i remember disco mike saying that he wired his turn/hazard lights wired into his backup bulbs (after changing them to amber bulbs of course)
i await a reply from the brain trust...
thanks

RE: turn/hazard lights re-wire?
Your turn signal aren't working right because without the lights in the bumper the resistance in the system is wrong. The simple fix is to get the bulbs back in the system. The more difficult fix is to find out what the correct resistance is and wire a resistor in the system to emulate the bulbs. Or it could be that you just took out the wiring with the bumper.

RE: turn/hazard lights re-wire?
ok i went outside and checked: wiring is still there. the lights got torn away but the wiring harness and plug are intact. i dont want to replace the factory bumper because i am looking for a aftermarket metal bumper that will be a little bit more durable than the plastic one. most aftermarket bumpers i have seen dont have the marker lights in them. i was hoping there was a quick fix to this conundrum.
btw how would i go about finding the correct omhs and replicating it?
thanks

So the plug is there but the bulb holder is gone...buy two new bulb holders from Atlantic British for $5 each, replace the bulbs and then zip tie the wiring up under the truck to the frame.
Then your wiring will still be intact and your turn signals will work.
