today my engine light came on, yesterday the rear turn signal light burned out, replaced bulb today and engine light went off a few minutes after, are these two conected some how ??? if i am correct i remember reading a while ago that the turn signals electrical was some how conected or impeded the transmission and other components to malfuction when a turn light burned out or a cheaper one was installed, not sure how true this is.

 

The auto parts store can read your stored codes for free, this may provide a confirmation of the situation. Take the bulb out while at the store to see if it repeats. Please advise back.

 

well the engine light ended being a misfire, one of my coil packs was no good, also had a small leak on tranfer case, and finally got my drive shaft back from tom woods, no more vibration at 120 km/h.
thank god for private warranty, mine is up in 15,000 kms or 2013, worth every bit of money. so far they have paid over 14000 in repairs, including a new engine rebuilt from atlantic british.

 

I bet your misfire was not a coil pack but lack of current tuning. When was the last time you tuned the engine and replaced the factory wires with new 8 mm silicone wires?

 

Yes spark plugs and new champion 8mm wires were installed when the engine was done. Maintanence has been kept up to date according to land rover schedule. This truck is well taken care of.
