Turn Signal Fail - Video Help - Disco II
Hello,
-1999 Disco II-
I have a video of the issue. Left turn signal isn't working properly, but SOMETIMES works for a turn or two (maybe 1 time out of 20) then fails again.
In the video you can see the right turn signal works fine, the left fails, and the hazard lights fail (the right side DOES flash).
I have checked bulbs and they are fine, checked fuses, relays under steering column, the switch itself, even disconnected the battery for 15 minutes...
I'm out of guesses.
Thanks for any and all help.

Good one. Three suggestions:
I had something similar, and even though I thought the bulb was fine, I replaced it with a new one. I found out that the little lead 'button' on the bulb base had worn down over time and the spring contact in the lamp would only make intermittent contact.
Is the socket corroded from wading? Clean it up or replace it.
If that does not work, get a volt meter and check the socket fitting, trying both the hazards and the turn signal. If you find that the voltage does not consistently show up at the socket you have to follow the wires back and search for a break. This is the most painful option.
I hope you get it figured out....

Swap the relay to see if the problem goes to the right side. If it does, replace the relay. If not, get back to us......
but it should be the relay. Frond the video, it sounds and seems the relay has failed, but not in the usual way.

Do you have access to the wiring diagram? I'm doing this off my phone i dnot have rave access.
No power at the turn signals and relay swaps fine.
I am not inclined to say switch because it does it with the hazards as well. I would go with a possible short to ground, before the lamps. Have you had any bodywork done, accidents, live in an area that's prone to "outdoor wildlife" nesting in warm cars..etc.
