Talking two set up thirds about to go in disco

Bill Davis defiantly hooked me up with a great deal and now i have two fully set up third members waiting to go in the disco!!! rear Detroit and front true trac with 4.11's yayy!!

never swapped out front third member in a disco and was looking for some advice or helpful tips from anyone who has.

main ? being i have steel wheels so i don't think i need to pull the front wheels off....is this true? can the axle be unbolted and just pulled through like the rear i really don't want to have to pull the hub apart to swap thirds.....

any help would be appreciated

Setting up the gears with the proper spacing and lash in the third member is the hard part. With that done it's a matter of pulling the shafts, remove and replace the third members and replace the shafts. The front is more complicated than the rear because you have to deal with the CV joints and swivel ***** at the steering knuckle. As far as I know the whole hub has to come off the front. While you have everything opened up it would be a good time to check all your bearings and seals in the axles.

If you haven't already done so download the RAVE manual. It will tell you for certain what you need to do.

Yeah I was thin kin I'd probably have to pull the hub ***. Off cause of the cv's can't complain got great deal full set up thirds with gears and lockers for under $2000 front and rear, I'd recommend bill davis at GBR all day long! Awesome business
