Also any trick to get the torque converter to slide in?

Rotate torque converter as you slide it in, much easier to do with shaft vertical. Change the center shaft o-ring on the Tcase while you have it apart. Several threads and videos on that.

wow stand it up vertically ok scratches head lol

Transfer case needs to be off to change the center shaft o-ring anyway. Get a 5 gal bucket, lay a couple 2x4's across the mouth and put the transmission on end with the shaft sticking down in the bucket.

Torque converter in flipping it on end was easier. I had 3 clunks as it dropped in and this is how it looks.

Put a little grease on the nose of the converter and on the bellhousing alignment dowels to help is slide in.

Ok thanks and best way to hold the torque converter in while I transport ?

Bolt a 2x4 across the front with some bubblewrap padding between the 2x4 and converter.
