Enjoy, don't worry about mpg, and don't get excited over coolant temps until you have become familiar with the truck's nature. You are shifting from a gauge that is programmed to make casual owners calm, to a digital degree display with very little time lag. And you are monitoring the effect of a mechanical device with a wax pellet that melts and re-cools to operate. There will be some variation on startup. If you can display volts that will keep an eye on the alternator and battery.

SWMBO calls it my panic gauge as I just have mine set for Engine Temp, MPG, oil miles and a few other on a single screen as i did not want it rotating through loads of screens showing info that i dont care about

Thanks for the tips and suggestions. Now to decide where to put the darn thing? Should be Here tomorrow by the time I return form work, so I'm sure I'll have had a panic attack or two by dinner from watching the display.

Installed and working like a champ. Coolant level parks at 203 and holds steady, so I'm happy with that.

Thanks again

Where did you put it?
Mine is on the windshield just right of the instrument cluster.

Its easy to see without taking your eyes off the road.

Just left of the console in the corner between the cluster and pillar. I'm trying to figure out what info I want displayed.

That is a very good idea for the location.
I might move mine there.

Heres a picture of it mounted. Nice and out of the way then i ran the wire down through the molding for the dash and then brought it back out just enough to slide in to the port. No wires exposed anywhere.

I'm going to buy a shorter mount and move mine in the spring.
Wal-Mart sells the exact same mount that came with the unit, infact my phone mount is what is holding my Ultra-Gauge and the mount that came with the unit is still in the box.
