The good things is that my temps at the moment aren't high. They're right on par w/ everyone elses. 194°-197° highway and 202°-206° at idle on a 90° day. I bought the stat because I want the lower than normal operating temps achievable w/ the soft spring 180°
stat.

I'll address the radiator if and when it becomes a problem. In the meantime, if I can get my 175k mile engine down a few degrees I'm sure she'll be a happier little Brit.

That's normal. If you do a lot of stops locally (ex., store to store, etc.) then sometimes it could be higher when you first start her up and then rather quickly come back down. Mine has spiked as high as 215.6 after a few short stops, but even while idling will quickly come back down.

The UG can make you paranoid. Set your alarms and forget it.

Not trying to scare you a bit, just know these are 100,000 radiators and they do tend to clog easy and changing the factory radiator at 100,000 is a good idea and a good piece of mind. A 180 soft spring is a great stat and will help cool your engine but may also hide the beginning signs if a clogging radiator. Just my experience.
