Some guy told me it always gets stuck unless you buy the overpriced version at Lucky8.
Oddly, he was wearing a Lucky8 shirt....

It's the cup holder. Cup holders are for Starbucks denizens, not off-roading. They act like a CDL lockout.

Camdisco
What even did we meet at ?

The D1 linkage is famous for rusting up, that is why rover went to the cable system found on the D2. The D2 linkage is much smoother to used but as Camdisco points out it not cheep. In the end they both do the same function, just make sure you are getting the full swing of the locking lever. I know of 2 T cases where the linkage did not fully engage. This causes teeth only to half lock in and the Tcase did not survive.

People give me a hard time for buying you guys' shifter since its $400+ and you can find used DI ones for like $100. But I dont care! I love it and it (was) new and shiny when I put it in. No rust in the camdisco!

Did you have any problem shifting the t/case from high to low before switching the linkage?

Mike, it was just a joke tread. I took that pic as I was leaving junk yard. The D1 shifter is just sitting on top of my old shift. Hope to get it installed soon.
Just not looking forward to the interior work..I hate taking plastic pieces apart..always end up breaking something.
