Default Under run bar ABY100000

Some ideas needed. I have decided to manufacture the 'Under run bar ABY100000' that are now rare and which fits at the back of the standard front bumper. These bars rot away with rust in a spectacular fashion so to avoid this I may reproduce them either in steel tube or stainless steel tube. Would anyone be prepared to pay slightly more for the stainless steel option. Opinions would be helpful.

The standard UK cost for the Under run bar ABY100000 is £111.00 plus freight charges.

I just took one of those to be recycled. Pristine with no rust.

Couldn't find anyone who wanted it.

I suspect a lot of people here opt to get an aftermarket bumper rather than replace the oem parts. I tossed that bar in the bin, along with the crush cans and other misc parts

I still have extra when I installed my front hitch. Dont they remove it when replacing a heavy duty bumper? I just got a used arb and i found out that it came with that bar.

Honestly I even ran my stock bumper without one for a long time. I've still got it around somewhere I think, no rust to speak of. Sorry, france

I took the decision to re-manufacture these in stainless steel (low additional cost) but unfortunately there seems few required in the US so it looks like the UK, European and Australian market will be more fruitful for use with the standard stock bumper.

if you are going to manufacture anyway, you might consider putting some tapped holes in it. For an after market bumper it makes a good place to attach a lightweight skid plate to protect the bottom of the radiator.

For example on the ARB that i just installed on my truck it leaves like a 24 x 13 inch hole that is quite vulnerable.

That seems better having a mount to secure an add on skid plate. but it seems like a lot of designing to do to fit existing factory or aftermarket bumpers. I guess they have all different designs.

most anyone can measure and drill a hole if there is a thread spot to hook to. That is what i just did but had to tap my own holes. I think we went 2 inches in from the end and one in the center. Like the famous american baseball movie. Make it and they will come.
