Uneven throttle response

Uneven throttle response
Hi,
I just posted that I have problems with gear shifting but I think is has to do with the engine. When I push the gas pedal on neutral, and I increase the RPM the RPM are not stable, you can hear the engine that goes down and then up again, what could be happening??
Thanks!

No, it has not be tuned.
When the battery discharged, I sent them to check it and they told me the alternator was failing. It has been at least one and a half month and I have not done anything since.
The main problem I'm having is that when I'm driving, it shifts gears like crazy sometimes, downshift gears and then goes up again.
To troubleshoot it had put the Disco, in N, (automatic transmission) and throttle and I saw that the throthling is uneven, and it gets worse when I throttle up to 2000 rpm. It goes down and then up, stabilizes for 5-10 seconds, then it goes down to 1800 and goes up inmediately again.
Any thoughts??

Was was the tranny last serviced, when was the fluid level last checked? If it is OK then you should have a tranny shop, not the dealer, scan the system, if nothing wrong with the tranny then have them reset the adaptive memory and let it relearn how to shift, takes about an hour of your time.

I replied to your other post as well, have your mechanic check the chargine system and fix what needs to be fixed.

RE: Uneven throttle response
I sent the LR to the mechanic, they checked the tranny fluid, they told me it was correct. They could not find the problem, they told me that they used the computer and they found no error codes. Afterwards I bought another alternator, it was replaced today, and the battery was checked. The LR has the same problem. I'm suspecting it is something related with the engine or the valves? It is an intermitten problem, it works fine for a while and then the engine starts acting up, like losing power for a couple of seconds and then coming back. This happens also when I'm on neutral, I push the gas pedal and when on 2000 rpm the engine goes down to 1800rpm and then to 1500rpm....
somebody please help me resolve this.
ps: I also changed the spark plugs and the spark plugs cables.
