Default Unlock does not work on Remote

My unlock button has decided to no longer work. The lock button works fine, but when I push the land rover symbol... nothing. Is this a problem with the battery in the key? Is the button itself causing the issue? Any advice on this issue would be great. I feel like its not the battery because the lock works perfectly... but i dont know...

Thanks for any help!

Batteries are cheap, try it and see. Clean the button contacts with rubbing alcohol and a Q-tip.

I just fixed mine. It was completely DOA. Note: don't do this unless it's a last resort. I took out the little circuit board from the FOB. I removed the battery and doused the circuit board with contact cleaner making sure that I doused the pressure switches on the circuit board. I let it dry for a couple days (outside the FOB). It was still intermittent but the switches were clicking again. My last step was to press down the large chip between my thumb and forefinger. This reseated the chip or battery and now it works great.

Mind you any of these steps could also break your circuit board so use it as a last attempt before buying a new one.

It is not a battery, since the lock button works, you have power. You need to carefully take toe FOB apart and try cleaning the unlock button without breaking it.

I meant to post back to this, my problem was that the unlock button was broken, even before I opened the FOB.

My was too but I sprayed the switch on the circuit board with contact cleaner and it came back to life.

I fixed mine. Took the remote apart and the land rover pressure button had broken free from the pcb. I re-soldered it and now it works fine.
