yesterday, my poor disco has fallen victim to yet another mechanical (at least i think) fault. the engine sounds almost like a cammed v8, in the sense that the engine (td5) revs up after sounding like it was going to stall. yesterday also happened to be adelaide’s hottest, at 43° c (103° something f) if that has anything to do with anything. i personally believe it is a failing fuel pump, but i may be wrong.


in this video i’ve linked you can see and hear the engine, rewatching it it does sound normal but i promise it’s not.

in one of my previous posts i talked about running the car on vegetable oil, i promise this has nothing to do with it, my car has not been running on vegetable oil.
