Might want to monitor voltages while driving and idling with full load before your trip.
Original alternator, would love to switch out but dodent really have time. Have extra battery in the vehicle and one in the trailer, and solar panels to help charge. Also, two ways to monitor battery. Purchased a new oddessy 31m 2150 last week to be on the safe side.
Where are you getting a 150 amp Bosch alternator that fits? I will need to upgrade mine at some point.

Rockauto. I have a 2004, but you have to search for a 2002. $250 shipped. New, not remanufactured. Direct drop in.

Agree, to many things can go south, deep south, if you mess with 02's. Last two sets l've done, both front ones took threads with them. Had to tap new threads, and the drivers side is a real pain to do.

Found it thanks. I'll order so it arrives in Tennessee the day after I arrive.
Have to drive back too, and I've been wanting an alternator with more amps. Keep the existing as a spare.
I was going to snag one from a range rover at pick a part, but that takes time and new is better.

Silver Point, a bit west of Cookeville.
I'll be taking the 40 all the way so will pass through Nashville.
Good to have a Discovery neighbor. Let me know if there are any good mechanics in Tennessee and we should go off roading at some point.

Lance’s foreign auto is my go to. He basically only does rovers from defenders to LR4s and RRs and everything in between. There are probably 6 dII’s in his lot at any given time. I work next door to him. Good dude but he stays booked up.

there’s also a guy in gallatin on 190 on the south side of the bridge that goes over the river that only works on rovers. I’ve heard good things. Think he’s done a D2 TD5 swap before.
