Default Update on the Stranded Disco II

The GoodYear shop called. Said it is getting fuel to the engine, but they don't have the test equipment to test it any further and recommended taking it to the "Range Rover Dealer".

So, my truck that will turn over and supposedly getting fuel but won't start is still stuck at GoodYear.

I think I'm going to leave it there for a few days until hopefully I can get a few more ideas from you guysabout what to try next.

Also, what'sthe requirement for towing a 2000 DII, orusing a dolly -ifit comes to that?

Mike, I didn't want to call you with it being Christmas.

Merry Christmas to everyone BTW!

whatever you do all 4 tires have to be on the same surface. You can tow it on flat ground with the tranny and t case in neutral, or you have to put it on a trailer.

Flat bed the Disoc.
Before you tow it have them ckeck the crank sensor, usually the problem even though it won't throw a code.
Speaking of codes, is the check engine light if so what exact fault codes did they get?

The fault codes that I had for the previous month or so were:

P0440- Evap Emiss. Control Sys. Malf.
P1590- Manf. Control Veh. Spd Idle Spd Control Aux inputs
P0135- 02 Sensor Heater Malf. (bank 1, sensor1)

but I cleared those codesearlier in the weekand they were not on at the time my truck died andhave not come back on...yet.

I'm thinking at this point I am going to order a crank sensor andsee if it starts then. The local Olympus Auto doesnt have one so I guess I'll have toorder one from Atlantic British.

BTW, when I pulled my spark plug to make sure I was getting fire it did not look like much of a spark, but I did see a spark and it was daytime with plenty of light. Should the spark have been more intense and could it be I am just not getting enough spark to fire it up? The engine still turns over, it's just not starting at all.

Even in the daylight the spark should be very bright, you should beable to see it in bright sunlight, evenwith sungalss's one.
