Upper Radiator t-pipe question
I noticed a crack in the t-pipe today, and also some tracks of coolant sprayed out towards my battery box.
I'm suspecting that this coolant is the source of my squealing belt. I replaced the bearing in the 80mm pulley, and fully replaced the 70mm pulley.
Then I noticed the crack.
I'm wondering if anyone has just replaced that t-pipe with something from a plumbing supply store, like a copper one? then maybe just tap a hole in the top to mimic the plastic bleed screw. Seems like it would be a lot stronger.
Would it heat up too much and melt the rubber hose? I doubt it, but thought i'd ask.
If someone has done this, what size T did you use?
Thanks.
