Default URGENT Coolant Question

Okay, I am pretty worried after just looking at a post. I have a 2001 D2 and about a month or so ago noticed the coolant was low, so my dad and I topped of the Orange coolant in the system (dexcool?) with some green Proline coolant that met all of the specifications I could find in the manual. It has been running fine and I added some more this evening and than came inside and saw a post saying that this turns the other into jello. Please help, I havent had any problems since originally adding it and the green just turned the same color as the orange when mixed.

No you cannot add anything other than DexCool to DexCool, especially not green coolant.
I used to sell bulk coolant and the only other kinds of coolant that you can mix with DexCool is another OAT (organci acid tecnology) coolant.
It sucks but I would highly recommend that you drain and flush your cooling system and then refill with any alumiunum safe coolant that you want.
I use Peak Global Lifetime 50/50 premix.
And no matter the coolant that you use change it every 2 years.

Yes.
It will take several thousand miles before it turns to Jello, and since you put in so little green coolant its not a today or die type of thing.
But do it as soon as possible.
