Default Used Transfer Case wont shift to Low... Need advice. Yes I''ve searched.

My used CDL transfer case will not shift into low. I have bench tested it and disassembled the High Low selector. The selector moves freely when removed. The issue is the High-Low engagement pin wont move. (pictured) I can wobble it like 1-3mm but not more than that.

Should I just get a replacement Transfer Case or is this an easy fix?

Are you rotating the input shaft as you try to shift?

I thought there was an electrical interlock on the transfer case too, in which case that is locked unless you remove the locking pin. Page 41-13 of the Rave yup there is an interlock

Thank you! I just dug into my RAVE and found it. I guess I'm installing a Transfer Case this weekend.

I do not know if you can test it before installing but that would be ideal as it is easy to change if it is defective while the transfer case is out harder with it in

Page 41-40 of the RAVE show you how to remove the interlock solenoid if it's a pre-2003 transfer case, so you could test the rotation of the box and the shift mechanism. After 2003 the interlock is mounted on the shifter assembly.
