Default Using hydraulic lift

I'm try to lift my 03 Disco in the shop to replace the props haft, however, the workshop manual says to use a drive on type lift. I'm not sure where to place the arms of the lift. I just want to confirm that I can't use this type of lift.

yes you can use that type of lift. If you put the truck in "N" you can rotate the tire and drive shaft to get to all of the nuts easier.

Put the lift on the frame near where the radius arms meet the frame

Well, it's done. I ended up just putting it on jack stands. Got nice and dirty rolling on the floor. I thought of that point on the frame, but I thought they were too close together. I wasn't sure if it would be unstable. Next time I'll try it.

I've put both of the D2 I have owned on the lift. It's just a little scary. I usually put a tripod under the trailer hitch and the front bumper or crossmember to help keep the thing from rocking off the lift.

Here is where I asked the question: Discovery on two post lift - DiscoWeb Message Boards

They posted some photos for me.
