Smile Using Thule 58" Load Bars vs. 65"

Greetings All,

I searched, but did not find a definite answer to using the Thule 953 super high feet and the 58" load bars on a 2001 Disco II. Thule says to use 65" and I did see others using that size, but I've got a line on a cheaper set that is 58"...

Anyone give this a try?

As long as the 58" bars extend outside beyond the upper clamps you'll be fine. Using 65" bars allows you attach accessories on the outboard portions.

58"may be kinda tight. The pic shows my set up with the 65" bars. You will notice there is only a few inches hanging out at both ends of the foot clamps.

Thanks everybody! Now that I know it can be done, I'll at least have options.
