Lots of work done today, unfortunately I was not able to get everything done today but only two connections, CPS and OPS, and 9 bolts stand in my way before I can start putting things back together. I especially enjoyed destroying the underbody cover that is completely useless, see attached pics. When all is said and done I may fabricate a proper metal skid plate for the front unless someone has good suggestions on one to use.

 

Well done with the repairs for the moment. New timing chain, oil pump, front cover gasket, sump gasket with pickup oil ring. Reconnected crossmember, and filled the truck with oil and coolant. Here is to hoping for a successful start up tomorrow with no leaks. Who knows how many times I will have to bleed the coolant system but I am trying to make Sunday a rover day. In short me and the family pack up into the rover and see what we can get ourselves into.
