Well, the 6" model I ordered didn't work- too big! So, inspired by @Alex_M I made my own, here she is: A right piece of beauty if you ever did see one.


I don't have a Harbor Freight near me so I had to get the C-clamp from Home Depot, the foot was too small to grind it out so I had to cut, mill, and weld a piece of pipe on the end. The clearance to get the keepers out is OK, I'll probably machine it out a little more, but the important thing is that she works like a dream otherwise!

 

Any auto parts store will carry the standard adjustable C-type compressor. These work just fine with the D2 heads.
