Default Ventilation fan is squeaking. Replace it or lube it?

My heating and A/C ventilation fan has started squeaking. I've had enough vehicles now that I know this can sometimes be fixed with a spray of WD40 or similar,.....and sometimes can only be fixed by replacing the squirrel cage.

Any way to lube this one?

While you can, it will only be a short term fix usually. Getting to it to lube is about same labor as replacing it.

I followed this post:

and my fan has been quiet for months now. Yes, it's only a temporary fix, but a new blower motor seems expensive.

I lubed mine a year ago and it's been quiet since.

Use my thread posted above. I did mine the day that was posted. It was Jan 2nd of this year. My fan was quite loud on turns due to dry bearings. It has not made a peep since. I don't even know what the fans cost, but the lube job was super easy and didn't take too long (I'm guessing around an hour). If I can hold off the cost for a few years, I'm happy.
