really.. here they yank it, tag it, and sell it. as long as it runs when they get it anyway. real shady some of these guys. one junkyard burned up a few months ago.

i try and stick to wheels, panels, and trim from those places. the discovery is the first vehicle i havent gone to the local boneyard for parts yet. excluding the tiburon i bought new in 04 and the 96 trans am i bought in 2001.

 

Yeah why do so many business dealing with the used car biz, tend to gravitate to toward the dark side? Mechanics, wrecking yards and omG, used car salesmen... *shudder*, damn even Jiffy Lube is evil LOL

 

Not all fast lube places are evil. Same for dealer and garage mechanics. I've worked all 3. On the obverse... A lot of them are really bad. Lol

 

True, I once worked in a super-lube pit and we didn't screw people. I think most of the dirty Jiffy Lubes were in So-Cal

 

Btw, repair holding up great. Man what a great 4x4! Tried the "downhill" function, well, it worked better than expected ;-)
