Default VERY strange break light problem...

So about a month ago i posted something about my break light. I had a situation where my bulb still worked but it wouldn't light up unless I pushed down on it (or so i thought). i was told to pull up the tab a little, I did this but it didn't work. But heres the strange thing, When i unscrew the light and take off the back it works fine and I dont even have to touch it, when I put the cover back on (but dont put it back in the hole) it still works. BUT as soon as a screw it back into place it stops working!! How annoying is that!? Does anyone know what this is??? PLEASE let me know, I feel so cheap driving around with a pop-eye brake light! INPUT IS APPRECIATED!

Thanks.
Cameron

Your tail light has a connector that is soldered to metal traces going around the back of it.I am sure one of the solder joints has cracked. Hence, it will work fine out of the car, but screwed back in, it flexes and loses connection. Take it out and check all solder connections. You will probably just have to heat up the solder again.

Check it out...
