Default vibration

I guess all of my bragging about a smooth idle has brought this on. At around 2500 RPM i get a light vibration. More load, the worse. I was thinking plugs and wires. I swapped my plugs out, and after 500 miles, they all look the same. No indication of a cylinder not firing right. Doesn't matter what gear I am in, so I don't think it is the drivetrain. I have looked at the belt while holding it around there and didn't see anything wobbling.

I am thinking I either have and exhaust valve sticking or an injector on the way out. Weird because it only does it at that RPM and sometimes it is ok. Oh, and no codes are present.

Default RE: vibration

Both would cause a rough idle and bad performance all the time.
Any codes/

no codes. I get a 1496 every once in a while, but I know my filler neck is bad. It drops down sometimes and beaks the seal on the gas cap. Hasn't done it for a few months, though. I make sure it is sitting up well every time I fill up. I know there was a recall on this, but my dealer said my truck had been taken care of. Any chance they didn't fix it right? It is annoying.

I do have a light tick sometimes when it is cold, but sounds great when it is warm.

It goes through rpm's fine, but when I hit 2500, it stumbles. Sometimes worse than others. I am stumped.... Idle is still good. slightly bumpy when it is cold....

You might want to check around on some of the other Rovers forums and look for issues with the VSS, vehicle speed sensors, could be the issue.

That was my next thought. Thanks Mike.

It feels like I am floating a valve, but only at that RPM. I have read about VSS problem, but didn't want to throw parts at it.
