I have heard of other guys experimenting with other brands but never have personally. Chances are pretty positive that it will return but you did not answer me about the lights being lit up?

Trying to clean it is always worth it to me, but that's just my opinion.

Do the lights on the dash come on when you turn your key to position # 2?

 

Yup. No problem with dash lights. All light up upon startup and cdl light, abs and TV light on now.
