Default Vibration no codes

First let me say thank you to you guys thay have helped me out over the years.

Now, I've got a 98 disco w/ 198k and have always kept it tuned and clean. I've got a vibration that feels exactly like a u-joint beginning to go though when I ran some injector cleaner through it smoothed out the ride. Still a little vibration though about 60%A better. I don't have any codes so does anyone have ant ideas where to start? Injectors? U-joints ect...?

Thanks,

dave k

do you feel it at a certain RPM, and can you feel it just revving it up in neutral?

Vibration is at its worst during acceleration and speeds between 10 and 30. Higher the spped the more it smooths out. Cold idle bounces around a little though warm its smoooth.

okdiscoguy.i just went out and reved it up in the driveway and it does seem to vibrate a little around 2000rpm. Its less noticeable just reving it up though it seems probable that its the same vibration I feel under acceleration. Plugs are ok.

I get a vibration around 2500 RPM. I think it is a bad exhaust valve. Sometimes it is ok, but others I can really feel it. Just like yours, the harder I push, the worse it is.

I had new heads put on around 150k so i don't think its valves, or i at least hope not. about the only thing i haven't replaced over the last 8 years are the injectors.

You need to decide if it is drive train or an engine vibration.
Drive train, has to be tires, could use all new u-joints.
If it is engine related, first check and see if you left motor mount is broken.
How long since it has had a major tune up including wires? What octane gas are you running and was was the engine last de-carboned?

92 octane, tuned last summer, seafoamed about two years ago. I baught 4 u-joints and I'll have the motor mount checked. start with the cheap first. I'll let you what happens.

Doesn't always work, certain not the cheapest way to go. Still need to have you decide if it is drive train or engine, do you have any codes??

I can't tell if its drive train or engine. no codes and runs pretty smooth for 180k. vibration is at 1500 to 2000rpms through each gear and not specific speeds.
