A friend is shopping for a DII and found an '01 SE with vinyl seats. Is that right? I can't imagine an SE with vinyl seats. Anyone have an idea if this was a common thing. I've only seen a few DIIs without leather and they were usually not SE models.

 

Very unusual to hear of vinyl on an SE, unless it came fom Canada or some area where leather is an option.

yeh its normally anything below an XS that doesnt have leather, has it been used well, beaten up ? could have had the seats replaced if it was only gonna have a working life

 

It's not like Canada is a third world country that can't afford leather there Mike.LOL! I suspect the "SE" was added somewhere along the line,or the friend got it mixed up with an "SD".It's not uncommon for an owner to add or change badging on their trucks.I've got an official "Special Vehicles" badge on my back door just above my "V8",and Ontario has a bunch of Discovery II "Camel Trophy" trucks!
