Maggie would have frightened this lot in Paris rigid. Too forceful and emphatic for their liking and they might have had to actually work (dirty word) for their monthly pay cheque.

What does everyone in Europe and the UK do for repairing these modules? They can't possibly buy new units!? I have family in France and when I took my wife to Paris for our honeymoon ('99) she loved it so much she was thinking of moving there. I would love it too but then I told her about the unions, taxes and crazy work rules, not to mention the filthy socialists that demand the working class pay for all their bennies she squashed that thought. Anyway, we are just about there now here in the U.S. so maybe we should have!

Hi, There are a few D2's and many D1's around France and Spain. There are many D1's and D2's in the UK and mostly they repair their WABCO modules. Landrover are on a real 'gravy train', a real 'money spinner' with this one as they don't allow WABCO to sell parts directly to the public (contract clauses) so they are 'raping' the LR owners every time for the spares and repairs.

As for France, hmmm, less said the better but I think you've summed it up succinctly. If one reads the financial press it's only a matter of time before implosion takes place. You can't have rules and attitudes of the 19th and 20th centuries and expect all the benefits of the 21st century. We just sit on the margins and watch bemusedly whilst the place progressively dismantles itself but unfortunately we own real estate here which is devaluing daily.

"Thank you for your parts enquiry.

I have checked on our Land Rover parts system and unfortunately the ABS module valve seals are not sold separately. Please see the picture below.

PICTURE OF WABCO ABS MODULE SHOWING PARTS AVAILABLE - IF YOU ARE SERIOUSLY RICH

I am sorry I can not be more helpful on this occasion.

If you require any further assistance please do not hesitate to contact me.

Best regards,
Allan."

Now there's a surprise eh, hmmmm, I wonder why!!! Not 'cos Landrover have the monopoly on the spares for the D2...............nah, 'cause not!!!!

Yep, exactly the same as the Hummer ABS modulator. There's a write up around on fixing the same issues on the Hummer.

Does this look familiar!
