Unless you are planning on a lot of articulation then the standard length ones are fine... Otherwise +2", but just by the sounds of it you won't need the extra length.

If I went with +2 is there any detriment to a none super articulating set up?

looking around at shock availability. TF 178 4 stage +3 looks like something I’d consider. Can you install these on a 2” lifted vehicle?

HD is NEVER going to ride worth a darn unless you have the extra weight on your LR which is what the HD springs were rated for.

Hi Best4x4

just to confirm. If I’m looking to improve my ride from my current setup; TF +2” HD springs TF AT +2” shocks. I should switch out current springs with TF MD springs and 2” spacers. I have ARB front bumper, winch, rear TF bumper and roof rack (rarely used).

Thanks

I ordered the TF +3 4 selection shocks for my front. Going to see if a softer shock selection with the OME HD front coils will = a better ride. I will give a report back

I use 1inch spacers for 3inch of lift total with MD springs.

I drive my lifted D2's on the road for 5-6hr at a time and they ride excellent. You have to pick the coil spring rate for the load on your vehicle. It is VERY VERY important, and so is getting the correct PSI in your tires. I always do a chalk test and dial it in perfectly.

I drove up to Austin over the weekend and it felt like I hadn't even driven maybe 30min in a vehicle vs the actual 4.5hr it took me to get there.

Installed the TF +3 4 selectable shocks in the front today. Definitely an improvement but not a huge wow factor. I think my next step will be medium springs with a 1” spacer.

Thanks for the reply Best. And thanks Micmac for starting this thread. Looking forward to hear how the medium springs work out.
