I have a Warn M8000 Winch and the ARB deluxe bull bar bumper ( pics below).
Warn customer support says I don’t need a cradle for mounting the m8000 to the ARB. They said rotate the end of the winch with the selector which I have done and mount the winch to the back of the front of the bumper. Only problem is there are only 4 holes in the bumper and in order to mount the fairlead the mounting bolt has has to pass through the fairlead to the feet of the bumper where the mounting holes for the winch are located. It winch did come with two longer bolts that look like they’ll make it through the fairlead, bumper and to the holes on the mounting feet of the winch but that seems like a flimsy setup. Not to mention the mounting spot for the winch doesn’t seem to be super strong.
Has anyone mounted this model winch to this particular model bumper as Warn suggests?
I ran that setup on my ARB without any issues. I've done a lot of hard pulls with it to unstuck folks from mud and winch myself out of stuff. If you're using synthetic line, you'll want an offset fairlead hawse though.
