Default Warn x8000i

I put on the ARB on my Disco II and I was wondering has anyone ever tried to mount a Warn x8000i in a Disco 2 ARB? The 8000i has the integrated solenoid in the housing. I have the fairly new winch that I took off my old truck just sitting in the garage. I know an 8000i is said to not have enough power but I think with enough ****** blocks it will be. Any input you guys have would be much appreciated.

Take a look at http://www.discoweb.org/joshuaw/arbbumper/index.htm which shows how you can go about mounting various feet-down winches onto an ARB. I'll be doing something similar to mine, along with additional trimming along the bottom, moving the fairlead upwards to be able to use a hawse, etc.

The 8000 is just slightly light, but will handle most Disco pulls easily. For the hard pulls a block will make that little extra difference. Make sure you run a good, pretty new, stronger then average battery so your winch will have as much help as possible. I run dual Yellow Tops with my 9500 Warn HSI and can pull till hell freezes over with no problem.
Good luck.
