Default Warranty Help

I have found this 2004 Discovery I've been thinking about purchasing and I was wondering if it is possible to purchase a warranty from Land Rover after you purchase it without one. I know when you buy some that are certified pre-owned, they come with a 6 year (From the date it was new) 75k warranty and I was wondering if you could purchase that same warranty for one without it.

Thanks,
Scott Frank

Try this site. They seem honest enough. http://www.roverguy.com/warranty.html
You can Google "Land Rover Warranty" and a couple (thousand) sites pop up.

Ron

Do or do not.
There is no "Try".

Dont wast your money on a warrenty. You are better off opening a Money Market Account. Then if you need the money it is there, if not you will be that much closer to retirement.

It would be really nice to have one, but if they want to much and its from a 3rd party company I don't think im interested and would do what you said hehe. but, I was just wondering if there was a way to get land rover to "certify" it for me and give me the extended warranty, or does that only happen when you buy from a dealership? Because there was this one 2003 at the local dealership and of course they wanted like 16k for it and it came with an extended warranty... I would have bought it but it had a few to many miles on it for my requirements. I know all this sounds rediculous but, I was just wondering if there was a way.

As far as I know the only way to get a LR warrenty, which is the only warrenty I would get, is through your dealer and you must buy a certified unit from them.
If it isint certified then they (LR) wont cover it.
All other warrenties are over priced and junk. They wont cover much if anything without a fight.
Not to mention the $3000 warrenty will cost you more than $3000 over the life of the loan.

I agree with Spike555. Those insurance companies aren't in business to lose money. I would recommend finding someone who loves to work on Rovers and bring him a case of beer every month! Then, if you ever need his help, he'll remember how nice you were.

Of course, booze and Land Rover repair do NOT go well together!
