Default Water Pump Failure... Is this reasonable?

I had my 01 Disco (90k) serviced. I was getting a good noise from under the hood and was told my water pump was going.

Here is the write up for the paypal invoice I received from my mechanic (who is Land Rover Tech who works out of his house on the side...). Is this reasonable? (I couldn't have done the work on my own...)

Diagnosis found front timing cover gasket leaking coolant and water pump shaft bearing failed. Repair consisted of removal and de-greasing all associated parts and cleaning all gasket mating surfaces. New gaskets and seals installed and oil and coolant systems filled. Parts cost = $231.00 + $1.50 coolant and oil disposal Labor cost = 6.5 hr @ $75/hr $487.50

Total $ 720.00

Thats a pretty fair price. Honestly with the timing cover off I would have just had the oil pump replaced too. Anytime you remove the front timing cover for service you might as well have the rest of the accessory parts replaced just for good measure. I have learned this the hard way...many times over.

Again, I think thats a fair price, especially only $75/hour. Dealers are closing in on $100/hour now.

A water pump replacement on a discovery takes about 1.5 hours... at least when I did it....
